Neutralac SLS45 is a high strength milk of lime product, unique in its strength, high reactivity and low viscosity.
As a highly reactive alkali we at Lhoist UK are finding a very good market for this product as a replacement for Caustic Soda in effluent treatment applications.
Lime offers an excellent environment for the precipitation of heavy metals, therefore we are finding that Neutralac SLS45 is an excellent alkali for use in effluent plants treating waste from metal processing plants.
The natural mineral qualities of Neutralac SLS45 also produce better floc's in DAF plants when treating food industry waste, ofen allowing for the reduction of expensive flocculants and polymers.
Health and Safety is also a key influencer as lime is intrinsically less hazardous than Caustic Soda, so there is always a benefit when replacing Caustic Soda with Neutralac SLS45.
